The Dairy Development Project is a vital livelihood initiative designed to empower rural women by providing them with stable and sustainable income opportunities through buffalo rearing. Dairy farming is a dependable rural income source with long-term economic benefits.
Livestock Distribution & Support
Under this project, DWA distributed buffaloes to selected women beneficiaries, enabling them to generate daily income through milk production. The project also includes training in animal care, feeding, hygiene, and dairy management, ensuring that beneficiaries can maintain their livestock responsibly.
Impact & Recent Activity
In 2024, with support from the Grace Foundation, the project had a substantial budget of ₹21,75,000, benefiting 40 women in the region. The dairy initiative not only boosts household income but also helps women invest in their children’s education and family well-being.
