Our Programs

For over 15 years, we’ve stood beside the most vulnerable — from leading community development and HIV-awareness projects to empowering migrant and tribal families across Kurnool. Today, our mission shines brightest at Adarsha Children Home, where 100 Budaga Jangala and tribal children find safety, education, and the childhood they deserve. Our work continues with one promise: to uplift every child and every community we touch.

Featured Programs

The Dalit Welfare Association (DWA) implements key development programs to uplift Dalit, tribal, and marginalized rural communities across Kurnool and Nandyal districts in Andhra Pradesh. These interventions focus on sustainable livelihoods, quality education, women empowerment, and rural health awareness, directly addressing long-standing poverty and social exclusion.

Sheep Rearing Project

DWA supports economically disadvantaged single women by providing sheep, livestock training, and veterinary support. This project strengthens long-term income generation and family stability. In recent years, the initiative supported 20 women, impacting nearly 100 individuals, and expanded in 2024 (BASAID & UCH) with a ₹6,00,000 budget to empower 60 women.

Scholarships for Tribal Students

To reduce school dropouts, DWA offers scholarships covering tuition fees, books, and uniforms for economically disadvantaged tribal children. In one year, 30 students benefited, enabling youth to continue their studies. The 2022 initiative (NCT India), budgeted at ₹3,00,000, supported 30 children.

Tailoring Skill Development Program

This program trains rural women in stitching, garment design, and tailoring, while providing sewing machines. It enabled 50 women to achieve financial independence and support their families. The 2021 project (NCT India) trained 50 women with a ₹1,50,000 budget.

Health Awareness Program

DWA addresses rural health challenges through hygiene awareness, focusing on safe water, handwashing, sanitation, nutrition, and disease prevention. The initiative reached 100 families, and again in 2023 supported 150 families (LAMP).

Dairy Development Project

To expand income opportunities, DWA provided buffaloes to rural women. The 2024 Grace Foundation project allocated ₹21,75,000, benefiting 40 women and improving household stability.

Orphanage Home

Adarsha Children Home shelters 100 Budaga Jangala and tribal community children who were once pushed into labour due to deep poverty. Though their parents care, circumstances forced them away from school. We rescued them and now provide safe shelter, nutritious food, education, and dignity. Adarsha stands as a promise — restoring childhood, protecting dreams, and giving every child a fair chance at life.
